Easy Christmas Mantel Decor

I realized this year that the same old and reused Christmas garlands I have in my basement needed an upgrade. This is how I put together this easy Christmas mantel decor.

Base Layer

My mantel is fairly basic and I ended up only needing four strands of garland total for this display. Let’s get started with the bottom layer.

This garland is a faux pine and so worth the little extra price! This artificial pine garland is super realistic and I love the way it lays with little to no fluffing required.

I only needed two strands for the base layer as my mantel is fairly modest in size. I am super impressed by the pine garland (which is currently on sale) so far and can’t wait to use it in years to come!

Top Layer

The two strands of garland on the top are a find I am super excited about! These are great faux garland for $30 and from Target, definitely a great deal for the quality.

I don’t think I would have known how great these were if I saw them solo on the shelf, but they really add some interest and additional texture that I was hoping for!

Orange Garland

I think this is my favorite part about my Christmas mantel this year. Check out my post here on how to diy your own dried orange garland!

This garland just adds a little charm to my ordinary builder grade fireplace for a minimal price and is so easy to make at home.

Bells

I debated about adding these bells, but I think they do add some more weight to this ordinary mantle. These bells are a current Amazon favorite, and I can see why.

Get the link for the bells here.

Lights

I can’t believe I almost forgot about the lights! These fairly lights were so cheap, (link here) I couldn’t resist.

They do have an on/off switch (although the remotes are great- I didn’t know if I could keep track of another candle remote right now).

I did buy two strands of lights, which give a nice little shimmer.

Stockings

I found these fuzzy stockings a few years ago at Target. Unfortunately, they don’t have the same ones anymore, but I have linked similar below.

Hooks

I used a combination of command hooks to secure the garland in place.

These are great because the hook moves from the base and is great for securing the garland and can easily be removed when the holidays are over.

I did use these bigger ones to hold the bells in place (as they do have some substance to them like I mentioned earlier).

Wrap up

This was a super easy Christmas mantel that includes some garland finds that I would highly recommend.

Links are throughout the post, but here is the complete list of the items I used for this display.
